Death of French composer, 74

Death of French composer, 74

There was a concert last night at Salle Colonne in memory of Bruno Ducol, whose death on January 11 went unreported in French media.

A student of Messiaen and Pierre Schaeffer, Ducol became immersed in Greek culture and gave several of his works Greek titles.

He was composer in residence at the Conservatoire de Lyon in 1994-95, and went on to teach analysis at the Conservatoire de Paris until 2014.
