Death of UK concertmaster, 68

We have been notified of the passing of Perry Montague-Mason, popular leader of several British orchestras.

After an early spell in the BBC Concert Orchestra, Perry led Mantovani Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra for many years.

Among many highlights he was studio leader for Hans Zimmer, Debbie Wiseman and other prominent film and TV composers. His film credits include:
Gladiator, Wilde, Wolf Hall, Antz, Bridget Jones’ Diary, Gosford Park, Love Actually, The Bourne Ultimatum, Lord of the Rings 2, The Green Zone, How To Train Your Dragon, Broken Embraces, Monsters v Aliens, Iron Man, Kung Fu Panda, Calendar Girls.
