Today, I am proud to celebrate my father, Oscar Dudamel, on the announcement of his upcoming salsa album, Sueño Alcanzado, out May 30 on Platoon.
Salsa music has been a part of my life since childhood – when I was young, I even dreamed of playing the trombone in a salsa band, but my arms were too short! Even to this day, the rhythms of this wonderful art from continue to echo in my conducting work.
