Dutch activist, RIP

Dutch activist, RIP

I very much regret the loss of Sytze Smit, campaigning editor of the excellent magazine Entr’acte.

A former violinist in the Amsterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Sytze relentlessly callewdout cliques and corruption in Dutch musical life.

He went on to become conservatorium director at Entschede and artistic advisor to the Amman Symphony Orchestra.
