We hear that Wasfi Kani at Grange Park Opera has engaged the orchestra of English National Opera for her forthcoming Ring cycle, which opens next summer with Rheingold.
This is a brilliant swoop, employing an orchestra that is scandalously underused all round the year by its parent company. So far, the Ring is being contracted opera by opera.
Grange Park, founded by Wasfi Kani, has presented 75 productions since 1998. The Ring is its biggest venture yet.
Wasfi says: ‘We are so lucky to have these players embarking with us on our 2026 Ring Cycle. Buckle up, Wagnerians!’
