Finn stick secures Olympic slot

It was originally announced that Cristian Măcelaru would conduct the Orchestre National de France at today’s opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.

It now appears that Klaus Mäkelä has been recruited to conduct the Orchestre de Paris and its choir at the start of the ceremony around 8 p.m. at the Conciergerie, on the Île de la Cité.

How did that happen?
