The composer Joseph Pibbs is working with historian and podcaster Dominic Sandbrook on an opera documenting the decline and fall of the reformist British prime minister Margaret Thatcher.

Mezzo-soprano Lucy Schauffer will play Mrs T.

No venue has yet been given for the production.

If Nixon in China is anything to go by, it could be a long runner.
