Germans cry: More Carter

Germans cry: More Carter

Deutsches Nationaltheater and Staatskapelle Weimar today named the Australian Daniel Carter as their next music director, from September this year. He is presently GMD at Landestheater Coburg.

He is not to be confused with fellow-Aussie Nicholas Carter, who is about to become Generalmusikdirektor of Staatsoper Stuttgart.

It seems German has only one name for conductor, and it’s Carter.
