Has the sound changed in Notre-Dame since the fire?

Since the cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris reopened last November, there have been multiple reports of subtle changes in its acoustic. The impression is not necessarily negative. One of the acousticians believe they may have miraculously revived a pre-modern sound.

Brian Katz, research director at the Institut D’Alembert at the Sorbonne,says: ‘It’s hard to tell exactly how it has changed but we expect it to be more reverberant…’
