Incoming US music director debuts 3 women conductors

Rolling out his first season at the head of the Cinicinnati Symphony POrchestra, Cristian Măcelaru has given debuts to three guest conductors – Kristiina Poska, Oksana Lyniv and Tabita Berglund.

He has also programmed Anna Clyne’s Abstractions in his inaugural concert.

These are bold statements of intent.
