Israeli wins US orchestra

The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera has chosen Ilya Ram as Music Director, only the fourth in 91 years.

Ram, 33, is presently in charge of the orchestra at Leipzig University.

Back home in Tel Aviv, he volunteers for the Israeli branch of Physicians for Human Rights.
