Italy is shuttling opera chiefs

Italy is shuttling opera chiefs

We hear that the Teatro Sancarlo in Naples, which evicted the Frenchman Stéphane Lissner on government orders, is about to instal Fulvio Macciardi of Bologna as his successor as sovrintendente.

Florence, meanwhile, is about to announce a new chief conductor.
