Jonas Kaufmann is a grandfather

Slippedisc.com congratulates the German-Austrian tenor and welcomes him to the club of the third generation.

Kaufmann’s married daughter Charlotte Kaufmann, 27, has given birth to a baby girl, her first child.

Jonas Kaufmann, 55, is presently cutting back his opera engagements to focus on his directorship of the Erl festival in the Tyrol.

And now to being a grandfather, a job with unprecotable responsibilities.
