Just in: Korean wins the Sibelius Competition

The verdict is just in from the Jean Sibelius Violin Competition, held over ten days at the Helsinki Music Centre.

The winners are:

1st Prize €30,000: Sueye Park
2nd Prize €20,000: Minami Yoshida (Japan)
3rd Prize €15,000: Claire Wells (US)

Best Performance of the Sibelius Violin Concerto (€3,000) – awarded by the Sibelius family: Minami Yoshida
