Just in: Yuja cancels Dude and NY Phil

Just in: Yuja cancels Dude and NY Phil

Message from Lincoln Center – no other soloist would do?

We are writing to inform you of a change to your upcoming NY Phil performance: pianist Yuja Wang has withdrawn due to health issues.

Ravel’s Piano Concerto for Left Hand and Piano Concerto in G major have been replaced with the composer’s Mother Goose Suite, a musical depiction of beloved fairy tales, and a suite from Daphnis et Chloé.

As previously planned, Gustavo Dudamel takes the podium for the first time this season, joining our celebration of the 150th anniversary of Ravel’s birth.

The revised program is as follows:

Varèse Amériques
Ravel Mother Goose Suite
Ravel Prélude et Danse de Sémiramis (World Premiere)
Ravel Daphnis et Chloé, Suite No. 2
Gershwin An American in Paris
