La Scala orchestra strikes on Puccini 100th

La Scala orchestra strikes on Puccini 100th

The musicians picked  their moment to blank the centernary of Puccini’s death.

What should have been a recital with orchestra by Jonas Kaufmann and Anna Netrebko was called off at five minutes past eight on Friday night.

At twenty to nine the concert was reinstated with piano accompaniment.

Brilliant work by the theatre.

The orchestra strike was called as part of a national protest by trade unions.
