Liverpool hires US-based CEO

The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Beitain’s oldest orchestra, has appointed Vanessa Reed as its next chief executive, succeeding Michael Eakin who is retiring in June.

Reed has been President and CEO of New Music USA since 2019. Before that she was CEO at PRS Foundation in London.

Could be a steep learning curve.
