Maestro is robbed in Frrench resort

The conductor Mathieu Herzog, former violist of the Ébène Quartet, has made it known that his cherished viola was stolen yesterday in the French resort of La-Teste-de-Buch.

The instrument was made for him by Charles Coquet in 2016.

He asks anyone with information to contact the police.
