The Minnesota Orchestra has dedicated this weekend’s concerts to the memory of Arek Tesarczyk, a member of its cello section, who died after a long illness.

Polish born, Tesarczyk was a pedigee performer who gave the world premiere of a concerto by the Finnish composer, Einojuhani Rautavaara. Before moving to the US, he was principal cello at the Winnipeg Symphony.
