One good Finn deserves another

One good Finn deserves another

Tarmo Peltokoski, 25, has rolled out next season at the Hong Kong Philharmonic where he become music director next year.

The young Finn’s first move is to appoint his compatriot Esa-Pekka Salonen as Composer-in-Residence. ‘I am especially looking forward to the compositions and conducting of my dear friend and mentor Esa-Pekka Salonen,’ said Tarmo.

Esa-Pekka calls him ‘one of the greatest talents I have come across in recent years.’

Here’s a video statement by the pair of them.
