Paris disses Ravel

Paris disses Ravel

It’s not bad enough that the French Republic has ignored Ravel in his 150th annivesary year.

The Chatelet in Paris is mocking the composer with asomething called Rave-l Party.

Blurb:
Immersive evening

From an intimate and hypnotic Ravel to a collective trance
The Apaches affirm their desire to surprise but also to amaze the public with musical creation in all its forms. To celebrate Maurice Ravel’s birthday, Les Apaches are organizing a Rave-L Party, which gradually transforms the concert hall into a vast industrial ensemble and then into an electro club. Far from the black and white clichés that represent a classic-looking Ravel in a suit and jacket, it is the Apache Ravel, innovative and eternally young, that we are going to celebrate. The one who respected no limits by exploring all styles to create new music and who continues to inspire all musical spheres today.
From the rediscovery of a jazz Bolero from 1929 to the creation of a techno Bolero , including a Suite-Remix of the dances of the Child and the spells , today’s Apaches dare EVERYTHING.
