Philharmonia player has 300 year-old violin stolen in a pub

A member of the Philharmonia Orchestra called in the police after having a Florentine violin, dated 1740, stolen from The Marquess Tavern on Canonbury Street, Islington. The theft took place in February 18 but has only just been made known.

The violin belongs to David Lopez Ibañez, a member of the orchestra since 2013 (pic below).
