It is being widely reported that Gene Hackman, star of The French Connection (pic) and much else, has been found dead today at his home in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Hackman was 95. Beside him was his second wife, the pianist, Betsy Arakawa, who was 63. Their dog was also reported to have been found dead.
The couple had lived out of the limelight for many years.
Arakawa is widely described as a ‘classically trained pianist’. She is from Hawaii, born on December 1, 1961 . We have been unable to trace her classical education or music career.
