A GoFundMe page has been set up for the Chinese family of pianist Weilu Liu, who died in a murder-suicide with her violent husband Jonathan Rivera in Gainesville, Florida.
Weilu had come to the US to study piano at Columbus State University.
Her former professor Henry Kramer writes:
My former student Weilu from Schwob was such a kind and talented person whom I immensely enjoyed getting to know and work with during my time in Columbus. Last week I received the horrific news that she was a victim of domestic abuse and had her life taken from her.
Her family, who live in China and were not in the states to help her, now have to deal with picking up the pieces and organizing her funeral. In honor of Weilu, please consider donating.
