Power couple leave US festival

The California summer festival Menlo@music is to lose its founding leadership.

David Finckel and Wu Han have let it be known they will retire after the 2026 festival, having given quarter of a century to the event. The festival now  attracts an attendance of 10,000 people. Finckel, former cellist of  the Emerson Quartet, and Wu, co-director of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, were able to call in top performing talent..
