Prague Conservatoire changes sex

For the first time since it foundation in 1808, the Prague Conservatory is to be run by a woman.

Dr. Veronika Höslová came top out of 14 candidates to be named director.

She succeeds, among others, Antonín Dvořák 1901–1904, Vítězslav Novák 1918–1922, Josef Suk 1923–1928 and Josef Bohuslav Foerster 1928–1930.
