Ruth Leon recommends… The American Wing at 100 – Met Museum

The American Wing at the Metropolitan Museum celebrates its 100th anniversary with a reinstallation of its extensive collection of art and design. Newly interpreted galleries on three floors reveal connections across the Wing’s increasingly hemispheric holdings—from the mid-17th to mid-20th century with some contemporary expressions—and foreground meaningful and relevant storylines.

Met curators Sylvia Yount, Medill Higgins Harvey, Adrienne Spinozzi, Amelia Peck, Alyce Perry Englund, Stephanie L. Herdrich, Thayer Tolles, Patricia Marroquin Norby, and Alice Cooney Frelinghuysen, proudly join the Museum’s Director, Max Hollein, to tell us all about it.
