San Fran Symphony adds 6 players as strike looms

The San Francisco Symphony has appointed a new associate concertmaster Jason Issokson (pic), replacing Nadya Tichman who retired three years ago.

Also joining are oboist Brooks Fisher, second violins Hyeon Jin Cho and Kingston Ho, cellist Sarah Chong and first violin Yvette Kraft.

Last week the players voted to authorise a strike as contract talks remain stagnant.
