SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The longtime organist for the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist has died at 95.

Patricia Barragan Schreck, 95, died on Thursday, Jan. 2. She served as the organist and choir director at the Cathedral for 66 years.

She became the organist at 16 years old in February of 1946. Schreck managed several choirs including the Cathedral Men’s Choir, the Women’s Choir, the Savannah Catholic Deanery Choir and the SVA Alumnae Chorus.
