Stravinsky  scholar dies

Maureen Carr, founding director of the Penn State School of Music, has died aged 85.

She was an assiduous Stravinsky researcher, visiting the Paul Sacher archives in Basel no fewer than 27 times for manuscript researches for six books and a forthcoming OUP monograph, After Apollo: Stravinsky’s Path Through the Models of Bach (1929-1965).
