The President’s marine band cancels DEI concert

The President’s marine band cancels DEI concert

From the Washington Post:

Last week, “The President’s Own” quietly canceled a concert program originally billed as the “Equity Arc Wind Symphony.” The performance was to be the culmination of a “multi-day music intensive with musicians from ‘The President’s Own’” and high school musician fellows selected through auditions organized by the Chicago-based Equity Arc, a nonprofit organization that provides “specialized mentoring support for young BIPOC musicians and helps institutions take meaningful steps toward equity and inclusion.”

Meanwhile, the Post owner, Amazon boss Jeff Bezos, has restricted the paper’s Opinion page coverage to ‘personal liberties and free markets’. He made it clear that ‘alternate views’ will not appear on the pages.

The free speech that Trumpists pretend to defend is getting ever more stifled.
