This is all that is left of Welsh National Opera

This is all that is left of Welsh National Opera

An insider tells us that the WNO orchestra will open next season without:

A Leader
Principal second violin ( long-term maternity leave)
ANY double-basses
Principal flute
Second clarinet
Second trumpet
Second trombone
Timpanist

There are just two violists left.

That’s not an opera orchestra, it’s a bandstand.

Will no-one fight to save it?
