Tragic holiday death of London music director

Church sources report that Ian Keatley, director of music at Southwark Cathedral, has collapsed and died while on holiday. Ian was 42.

No further details have been communicated.

The Ulster Society of Organists and Choirmasters is saddened to share the news that Ian Keatley has died whilst on holiday. Ian was Director of Music at Southwark Cathedral, the most recent post in a distinguished career. Ian was involved in USOC at an early age and was a chorister in St George’s Parish Church, Belfast.
The Society extends its sincere condolences to Ian’s family and to the community at Southwark Cathedral.
