Trump offers $50m reward for head of El Sistema

Trump offers m reward for head of El Sistema

The United States has doubled the price it is offering for the arrest of Nicolas Maduro, president of the state of Venezuela and controller of the el Sistema music propaganda unit. Maduro funds el Sistema from his office and has placed his son on its board.

US Attorney General Pam Bondi said Maduro was directly linked to drug smuggling operations. The drug revenues pass through Maduro’s hands and on to el Sistema. Bindi said the DEA had ‘seized 30 tons of cocaine linked to Maduro and his associates, with nearly seven tons linked to Maduro himself’.
