Venezuelan maestro, 62

The death has been made known of Rodolfo Saglimbeni, Principal Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of Chile for the past six years. Before that, he was artistic director of the Municipal Symphony Orchestra of Caracas.

Trained at the at the Royal Academy of Music of London, he came second in the 1985 Besancon competition and went on to conduct orchestras in a dozen countries.
