Vienna bans Kneecap

The  Austrians have cancelled a September concert by the extremist Irish rappers, who have called in their performances for the eradication  of  the Israel Defence Forces,. The group were previously banned by the Szigeti festival in Hungary and by the Eden Project in Cornwall.

They say: ‘It is clear that this is political distraction and a further attempt to silence those who call out genocide against the Palestinian people.’

On one occasion they urged a crowd to ‘kill your MP’.

The  BBC’s Irish actor Adrian Dunbar has come out as one of their fans.
