Which opera? And why?

This is a scene from a new Richard Strauss production in Berlin.

I will confine my criticism to the singer’s ironing technique: that is not how you do men’s collars, darling.

I can just about put up with the lack of taste displayed by German dictator/directors. But the absence of observation trumps all.
