The music director of the Metropolitan Opera is angling for another night out on the Oscars red carpet. Here’s his film review:

On behalf of the opera community, I’d like to say to the entire cast and team: THANK YOU!!! @angelinajolie brought Maria Callas to life in the most hauntingly beautiful way, @pablolarrainof created a film that brings opera into the spotlight in such a powerful and respectful way, and @netflix continues to champion classical music. Honored to have introduced the film for this special presentation @paristheaternyc. Take my advice: go see Maria, AND then, join us at the @metopera.
