The pianos that survived Hiroshima

A piano tuner in the city hit 80 years ago by an atomic bomb has dedicated much of his life to restoring keyboards that somehow survived the devastation.

Yagawa Mitsunori, 73, has so far brought seven pianos back to life.

During this week’s 80th anniversary of the conflagration, he continues touring his instruments around Japan.
