Opera Australia digs itself a bigger hole

Opera Australia digs itself a bigger hole

The company has announced a triple change at the top.

The new music director Andrea Battistoni has jobs all over the world and will have little attention to devote to deep-seated woes.

The new board chair, Professor Glyn Davis, was secretary to the Prime Minister’s Department until a couple of months ago, when he abruptly resigned.

The new chief executive is Alex Budd, former head of the theatre in Canberra, which makes few ripples outside the sleepy capital.

Exciting, right?
