No first prize has been awarded at the 2024 Barbash J.S. Bach Competition for string players in Long Island, NY.

A joint second prize and no first prize was awarded at the Alberto Lysy Competition for violinists in Gstaad.

The 2024 Naumburg International Cello Competition in New York awarded a joint first prize of $20,000 to US–Canadian cellist Leland Ko, 26, and US–Danish cellist Jonathan Swensen, 27.

Judges these days just can’t make up their minds.
