Polish conductor wins German orchestra

The Rheinische Philharmonic state orchestra in Koblenz has chosen the gifted Marzena Diakun as its next chief conductor.

Marzena, 43, has been Chief Conductor of the Orquestra de la Comunidad de Madrid and of the Orchestre Symphonique de l’Opéra de Toulon.

She says: ‘Contract signed – so happy to join this amazing orchestra.’
