Cleveland escaper finds peace in DePaul

Cleveland escaper finds peace in DePaul

Melissa Kraut, who quit as cello co-chair at the floundering Cleveland Institute of Music, is to succeed Stephen Balderson as professor of cello at DePaul University School of Music.

Quite a coup for DePaul. Melissa says, pointedly: ‘Learning flourishes in an environment of dignity, professionalism, compassion, and safety. From the moment I set foot on the campus of DePaul University, I felt a resonant harmony with the community and immediately recognized this as a special place where students thrive.’

Draw your own conclusions.
