For sale: A Jascha Heifetz Strad

For sale: A Jascha Heifetz Strad

Tarisio are accepting bids for a 1731 Stradivari violin on which Heifetz prepared the premieres of the Korngold and Walton concertos and made several famous recordings.

Heifetz sold the instrument to colelctor Sam Bloomfield in 1950. Twenty-odd years later it was sold to another collector, who held onto it until now. No-one’s being crude enough to specify a price.

Send your bids to heifetz@tarisio.com.
