Curtis building is hit by fire

Philadcdelphia’s fire department declared an all-hands emergency in the early hours of Saturday morning after fire broke out in a building  near Rittenhouse Square.

The Art Alliance building was occupied by the former University of the Arts and is now in the hands of the Curtis Institute of Music.

The extent of damage and disruption has not yet been assessed.
