Another ballet company cancels orchestra

Milwaukee Ballet has cancelled its orchestra for the upcoming production of The Nutcracker.

The profitable company gives budgetary reasons, which are contested by the union.

The compamny’s website is slightly behind the beat. it says: ‘Milwaukee Ballet is proud to maintain its own orchestra of talented musicians. Their artistry helps to set the stage, accompanying our dancers as they bring theatrical story ballets to life.’ The orchestra is led by Music Director Andrew Sills.
