Anti-Putin musician falls from 10th floor window

It is reported that the well-known St Petersburg musician Vadim Stroykin fell from the window of his 10th floor apartment ‘while being visited by the security services’. Kremlin-lined social media sites said he ‘went into a spare room, hastily opened a window and committed an irreversible act’.

Stroykin, 59, had posted a protest message over the death in prison of the Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny and made no secret of his dissent from Vlad the Impaler’s regime.

He was a singer and guitarist who had travelled widely in the world and set up his own guitar school.
