Berkeley loses music director

The Berkeley Symphony has announced that Joseph Young will leave next summer after six years as music director.

Young, 42, is also artistic director at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore.

Berkeley was his first orchestra. He steered it ably through Covid and beyond.
