Berlin Philharmonic seeks pregnant women for listening study

From the Berlin Phil website:

During and immediately after pregnancy, (expectant) mothers and their babies are vulnerable to stress factors such as pandemics, environmental disasters, war or flight. Maternal stress has long-term effects for several generations. Creative interventions can significantly reduce these effects. This was demonstrated in the scientific study “Creativity during pregnancy”, launched in September 2021 in collaboration with obstetricians, scientists and members of the Berliner Philharmoniker.

The research project is now entering its third round. We are looking for pregnant women in Berlin who would like to take part in concerts and workshops from January to June 2025. The project will be carried out and evaluated in two groups – live and online. The allocation will be randomised.

Target group: Pregnant women who are in their 12th to 20th week of pregnancy on 17 January 2025
Duration: January to June 2025 (list of dates will be published on 1 December 2024)
Registration: free of charge from 01.12.2024, registration deadline 17.01.2025

Apply here.
