Bocelli agent dies, 80

Bocelli agent dies, 80

The Austrian tabloid Kurier has reported the death of its former showbiz reporter Peter Kupfer, who turned chasing stars into a profitable business. The personable Kupfer was manager of star tenors José Carreras, Juan Diego Flórez and Andrea Bocelli, among others. He bonded with opera folk, apparently, over football conversations.

‘You don’t meet some like Peter Kupfer very often,’ said the baritone Bryn Terfel.
